Owner/Instructor Jeni Simmons
Jeni has always been passionate about fitness. Growing up Jeni competed in soccer, tennis and gymnastics. While attending the University of Washington, Jeni taught arobics classes and was also a Husky cheerleader for 3 years.
Jeni discovered Pilates in 2002 after struggling to get back in shape following the birth of her 2nd child. Jeni was referred to an Authentic Pilates studio by a good friend and 3 months later she had more than lost the weight, she was in the best shape of her life!
Pilates Certification
Jeni's passion for Pilates led her towards becoming a certified instructor. After countless hours researching the different methods of Pilates and certifications, Jeni realized that the Authentic method was clearly the way to go. Daughter of Hall of Fame football coach Don James, Jeni learned at an early age that if you want to be really good at something you don't cut corners.
Jeni was hand selected into the very competitive Pilates Guild in 2003 and was mentored in the Authentic Method by Dorothee VandeWalle one of only 5 Master Teachers in the world, and certified by Romana Kryzanowska of Romana's Pilates in New York. Jeni received her certification in 2004 after completing a 900+ hour apprenticeship. She opened her studio that same year.
